Eileen has a degree in History and Theatre from Winona State University. She worked for many years at small family businesses and arts organizations. She spent five years working as the Marketing & Sales Director for the Great River Shakespeare Festival, where she has helped raise attendance numbers, expand festival programming, and has advocated for gender equity and greater racial diversity at all levels of the company. Eileen was elected to the Winona City Council in 2018. Eileen joined FRFF in November 2020. She spends her limited free time in the garden, knitting or repainting her house.

Dan has been with FRFF for seven years. He served as Interim Director and has had prior experience working in the interim director role, having served as the interim director for the Great River Shakespeare Festival for one season (Munson worked with the Shakespeare Festival for 12 years). Dan is a seasoned stage manager (having worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional theaters around the country, including The Kennedy Center), production manager (Los Angeles Theatre Center and Great River Shakespeare Festival), and writer.

Kara has a degree in Communication Studies and Theatre from Winona State University. They are currently pursuing an MFA in Theatre from the University of Idaho. They participate in various community organizations in Winona, including the Advocacy Center of Winona and Theatre du Mississippi. Planning and organizing is something Kara has always had a passion for, and they are excited to be part of the Frozen River Film Festival team for a second year!

Sydney is graduating from Winona State University in December with her Bachelor’s in Recreation and Tourism. Formerly she interned with Elmaro Vineyard where she helped with events and with Northwestern Mutual where she was the marketing and event planning intern. She joined FRFF this semester to help out with event planning, marketing, and nonprofit/arts administration. In her free time she enjoys reading, working out, and exploring new cities.
